History and origins of the youth hostel/hostel

Hostel Croatia, or Hostel The Blue House (Hoste Blue House Croatia) – will be available as a hostel only from summer 2022.
From 1999 this location has been used as a volunteer and youth project.
It is a place where a lot of activities organized for local young people have taken place.
Unfortunately, due to lack of economic prospects, these young people left this area.
And then came corona.
The lockdowns were used to give attention to the renovation of the location.
The result is a beautiful sleeping loft, some nice camping cabins, shower building, hostel with cooking facilities, playing fields and so on.

The hostel (the youth hostel) was first put into use by VWO 6 students of the Pantarijn from Wageningen. In the fall of 2021, around 40 students experienced a fantastic week here. In the spring of 2022, a group of 35 HAVO 4 and VWO 5 students experienced a similar week at the hostel and project site. The summer of 2022 will continue to be used to further develop the project site. Meanwhile, the hostel as a sleeping facility is ready and groups up to 45 people are welcome.
